T3 wheeled around Bao to plead his case to the ex-Jedi who led them. He schooled his face and his emotions to calmness, to unadorned and respectful friendship. 'I can only assume some sort of droid on droid violence is brewing.' If there was anything Bao-Dur liked about the General, it was her dry sense of humor, and there were a lot of things Bao liked about her. 'What is going on in here?' the General asked, her mouth quirked, her voice amused. Above them the Remote chimed in with its unhappy opinion of T3's reluctance to allow it to handle the repairs that had so long been T3's domain.ДЄ shadow moved across the doorway to the engine room, and Bao looked up. The astromech droid began a furious rebuttal. 'I know we could send you out to access the damage through the hull, but this is quicker and safer, and we don't need to drop out of hyperspace.' 'Whoa, hold on!' Bao said, holding up a hand. T3 launched into a tirade of beeps and whistles. If it were an organic sentient, that sound would be a huff.Д«ao-Dur glanced at T3. 'I don't know if you'll be quite so amused in a moment вЂ“ you're the only one of us who can fit back there and repair those connections.' 'That is a technical term,' Bao retorted mildly, and the Remote gave its beeping laugh. 'It is definitely out of whack.' Floating well above them, the Remote chirped. 'Yes, I see it,' Bao-Dur said, tilting his bare head with its crown of small horns to the side. T3-M4, quirky, ingenious and cylindrical, beeped and whirred in a tone that could only be interpreted as doubtful, if not outright disparaging.

I really love KOTOR 1 but I finally get what everyone has been saying, 2 really does have vastly superior writing and characterization (aside from the flat ending but the mods kind of help there).Bao-Dur crouched beside the battered little astromech droid as the two of them inspected the port engine. Considering in the LS run he's just an angry wookie who's barely in the game at all, it's incredibly impressive how tragic and haunting a character he is when you get a DS character breaking down his barriers. Exact same backstory, slightly different interpretation from my player character and Atton can logically be a noble jedi or a deranged sith.ДЄlso Hanharr has some absolutely astonishing and heart breaking writing. Needless to say, not only getting to witness a long seduction of a good person to the dark side is not only refreshing to see logically played out in star wars, but getting to instigate it is a huge testament to the astonishing quality of writing in KOTOR 2.ДЄdditonally, the subtle differences in Atton's transition to the force between light and dark is really stunning as well. This eventually creates a hilarious twist where Bao-dur blabbers about how much he loves me, little realizing he's essentially turning into darth maul. Essentially it involves being super nice and friendly and loving when Bao-dur is in the party, so that he loves me and his influence keeps soaring but when he's not around I kill anyone I see and maintain total dark side supremacy. I was recently playing my first DS run and on a lark I decided to try to 'seduce' him to the dark side (to reference how Obi Wan first described Vader's fall). I don't hate Bao-dur, but in an amazing cast of characters he kind of sucks.
